Honestly I'm struggling with this game. I chose a cardinal sin, greed, and plan to simply use it over and over - just one less thing to be confused about. I still don't understand how we win, I have no time to pay attention to purgatory, and I'm already starting to go through the motions just to keep up. We win three ways. All of Town is dead and we each have one soul OR living Devils outnumber living Town and we've claimed 1/3rd of the possible souls OR we've claimed 2/3rds of the possible souls. Just remember we win by claiming souls. That's our goal. Outnumbering Town and controlling the vote are not goals except to the extent that they further the goal of claiming souls, and we're only trying to stay alive in order to continue to use our powers and stop town from using theirs. Claim souls, win game. It took me a couple reads to wrap my head around it too.

I just re-read some things and we also need to vote at Night to be a tie breaker? Eh?

Wait - we are supposed to sin during the day??? There are soooo many thing to keep track of during this game. Each Town player has one Cardinal Sin that they can choose to try and meet the requirements of to get the benefits. We each have all the Cardinal Sins, we can use any of them we want as long as we meet the requirements. Day One I met the requirements for Pride, so I was unblockable/unredirectable. I don't think I met the requirements for any of them Today, though.

Pleo, is the Monk/Friar/Nun protect a group power? Or do they each pick an individual target to protect each Night?

vote BillMcJust to not leave it empty. Voting is during the Day. For those of you trying to grok things, read the lynch tie-breakers: 1. Whichever player has a vote from the Baron. 2. Whichever player has a vote from the Executioner. 3. Whichever player has more votes in Hell. 4. Whichever player has more sins (any Devil has more sins than any non-Devil). 5. Whichever player has more penalties. If none of the tie-breakers breaks the tie, then all tied players are lynched. Pleo, is the Monk/Friar/Nun protect a group power? Or do they each pick an individual target to protect each Night?
They each get to protect their own target each Night.

I think we should kill the confessor or a mason. From what Pleo just said, I think we should kill a Mason. We risk Ryjae's power another night or two, but with three Docs on the loose I think the odds are too good that he'll draw a protect. Let's whittle them down first. Let's kill MrV, I think he'll be less likely to be targeted by friendly Townies. Who wants the honors? I can protect the killer from being watched or tracked, but I need to know who.

From your role PM, "5. Each Day-Night cycle, you may choose one Cardinal Sin for that cycle. If you satisfy its requirements, you will get its power. Note, that for the Cardinal Sins Greed and Sloth, you must inform the moderator of your intention to use it the Night of the previous cycle. All other Cardinal Sins, you may inform the moderator anytime during the Day part of the cycle. You may also choose to not partake of any Cardinal Sin."

I made a ridiculous wager against paranoia. I do think we should be wagering sins to try to add sins to anyone in purgatory. If we get their sins high enough, we can guess every Cardinal sin and get them.
