I don't know if we'll need these threads but we might as well have them.
Frankly, I'm a little worried about Chronos. He's really thinking hard about the different possibilities of my role.

Out the airlock with him then.

"You are a Cracker. One time only, you may release at Night prisoners of your choice (any number) from the Brig. The release will happen just before the end of the Night, and the newly released will not be able to take any Night actions. Nor does this remove any standing arrest orders."
I'm pondering about the possibility of claiming the power as a "Townie", it may dovetail nicely to fan the flame that the Brig is "anti-town" and the Cracker power was assigned to a Townie to balance that.

Well, for now because I'm the engineer, we don't need to worry about you being exposed in the night. Obviously, it would be a good idea to get the three of us into officer positions. Would NKing Chronos be a good way to go about that or would it throw too much suspicion on you since you'd be moving from crew to officer?

I'm really leaning towards airlocking him right away, when there is confusion and very little data and lots of wifom about whether it was done to promote me, or remove a vocal player with seeminly solid ideas, the various motives for removing a vocal player with seeminly solid ideas, including the red herring motive.
I'm all for moving fast and hard as this will be a fast and hard game.

We really kinda need to get one of our own in the Doctor's spot, don't we.

Seems only fair. Who else is going to start getting the crew addicted to morphine?

I assume I can crack myself out of the brig, should I end up there with my power intact?[/color]
Edited to fix /b tag...

If Chronos decides to examine me before we kill him, the jig of killing him to promote me would be up. I don't know that there is much we can do to avoid that, other than possibly fanning the flames of suspicion on Chronos so that maybe Chronos would be more inclined to investigate one of the Townies who has voiced suspicion of him?

Yeah, I think if Chronos decides to investigate you then we should off one of the officers above me to move me out of the engineer spot because I think that's one of the positions that is going to be investigated a lot.

Where are you, Darth? Stop playing with the Death Star's endless supply of virtual holodeck snuff porn, and come do your scummy duty.

Silly scum. Check out the last paragraph of this post by Normal Phase. LinkI wonder if he may have a secret townie role. So if NKing Chronos goes belly up for the moment we might want to look at NP? Or I could even watch him tonight. He's an officer so I could even be all public about it without raising suspicion.

Yes my thoughts exactly. And ColdPhoenix may be getting testy for the same reasons, but since he's come out so early with suspicion of Chronos, he may be a useful target for manipulation. Though I admit my use of the word "vigorous" in that last statement does come across as a bit hypocritical, as it is quite OMGUS...

I got that exact same vibe off Normal. So XO with possible extra powers?
Also - that same post goes into the theory about no lynching day 1. If nobody goes into before I get back, I'll hop on it and try and explain this group's general logic. He says he has played elsewhere though.

Ok, I'm going to say that cookies should keep her power to herself. It will be a useful tool if everyone becomes enamored of Chronos' plan to brig everyone and lynch the rest.

Yeah the conversational turn is pretty much ruling out that initial idea. I'm the only one of us with a trick up my sleeve then?

Really? Why didn't you tell us that sooner? We could have tried more of a shell game to make it more likely that you are investigated by Chronos. I'm going to put a vote down against ColdPhoenix, for being suspicious of Chronos (not actually stating that part, but it is why) and because he's being dismissive of the possibility of hidden roles despite the Mod clearly preparing us for the possibility (which is the part I'm actually going to say).

I think my play is heavily suggesting that I have a hidden power so far, and I agree that I shouldn't come out with it if at all possible. If I do get stuck in a position where I may need to claim it, I think I can cover and account for many of the statements I've made by saying that my ability is a one-time ability to let everyone one who is in the Brig out (including myself), not selectively as my power actually is.
This would imply good reasons for both why I was concerned about confusing things if being watched by an Engineer, (because if there were both good guys and bad guys in the Brig when I exercise my "power", my motivation could be seen as releasing the scum when that was just collateral damage of getting the townies out of the Brig) and it also gives me a good reason for keeping my power to myself, because the scum could potentially manipulate my power by getting me in the brig along with some scum such that I release them when I release myself.

I don't know if Scuba just stepped in something or not, but I'm certainly going to testify that I think I see something on his shoe and there's suddenly a foul smell in the air.

Ok, Chronos is going to examine Ichini. If we NK Chronos would that throw suspicion on Ichini?
