sachertorte Vampire - Magician question:
What happens if a Vampire attacks a Magician who had targeted the Vampire as his proxy?
My reading of the rules makes me think that we'd have a dead Vampire. However, the rules also state that Vampires can not be nightkilled except from the Vigilante.
On a similar note, what happens if a Vampire attacks a different Vampire?
Pleonast Unless the Magician is blocked, the attack aimed at them is misdirected to the Magician's target. That attack is then resolved normally.
If Vampire attacks another Vampire (or themself via the Magician), the result is a failure, indistinguishable from a block or Vicar. Other Night-killers can kill themselves because of the Magician. Hehe.

dotchan Which roles can stop a Vigilante's suicide attempt?
If that question isn't specific enough, can the following roles stop a Vigilante's suicide attempt: 1) Cabal 2) Witches 3) Witchdoctor (by way of resurrecting a dead Vigilante)
Pleonast A Vigilante's suicide can be stopped by either blocking the Vigilante's attack (e.g., by the Cabal), or by protecting the Vigilante (e.g., by the Witches). The Witchdoctor cannot prevent the suicide, but the Vig will come back to life (with a clean conscience).

dotchan Will the Vigilante still be required to attempt suicide if a redirected Magician kill turns up scum, or only if the Vigilante's final victim (regardless of redirection) turns up Town?
Pleonast The Vigilante is required to suicide if they kill Town, no matter who they targeted originally. So a kill redirected by a Magician onto another Townie would require suicide. But if it were redirected onto a scum, then no suicide is needed.

CatInASuitWell what an interesting Night it was and what a Day it has already started to be. Strangely enough, I am the one individual for which discussing the Night kills is actually beneficial, instead of the usual comments on it being a scum tell. So with 1 assumption, that storyteller is being honest. Why make this assumption, Occam's razor. It fits the available facts better than the alternatives. So the victims last night were brewha: claimed Coroner Santo Rugger: unknown storyteller claimed Magician -> NBC: unknown Taking them in turn, both storyteller and Santo Rugger are strong players but did nothing outlandish on Day 1. brewha is going to be hit because he claimed coroner. Given the possibility of protection on him, myself and Nanook through Witch, Warlock, WitchDoctor etc, attempting to take out brewha is risky, possibly too risky for a single person to do so, but not for a group who can afford to lose a member. Being honest, over the course of the game, I think the Coroner is more likely to be useful than the detective simply because he can control the flow of info to the town, whereas I have to guess lucky each Day. So my guess for the Night Killers: 2 Vampires, 1 Wolf I also think we are likely to have a Vigilante and that the Cabal have a one-off Night Kill as a Secret Power. Applying that to last Night gives. Storyteller: Attacked by Vampire Santo Rugger : Attacked by Vampire brewha: Attacked by Wolf. Other comments: 1. DiggitCamara has already tried some (mis)direction on my choice. 2. It would not surprise me to see Nanook as the killer. The WIFOM that would generate would be hilarious. 3. How on earth did I make it alive into Day 2? So before I forget or until I change my mind. CIAS investigates brewhaThat's all for now.
