Omi no KamiHurrah! Just to confirm, does this mean that I now have no special powers for the rest of the game? PleonastHehe, you're over-reading. That was just my confirmation that you were protecting story. Don't assume that your action actually stopped a kill. And, second, you only lose your power if you protect yourself and you are attacked. Basically, you're a guardian angel type role with only limited self-protection, to discourage you from claiming. Omi no KamiOhh, I thought it was one-shot in both directions... thanks for the clarification! Damn good timing, too: I was just about to tell the whole town how I'd selflessly used up my only protect and heroically blocked a kill attempt, and that could've fallen apart rather quickly.

Ah damn. Two (well, one potentially) non-town results. So much for the confirmable idea huh? If I can get one more result, and have a definite town, that helps us a ton. I feel like I HAVE to find some way to breadcrumb dotchan, either an analysis today, or just some off remark. I can't trust I'll remain too under the radar for long, both to a lynch mob, and to nightkills.
Going right for dotchan I think would be a mistake, and reveal that I have some information others dont, and make me a target. I need to be more subtle; but I also need dotchan to participate a little more, and find some way to get that in there. Arg.

CatInASuit
The Inquisitive Detective Diaries - Day Three
Another Day dawns and I'm still here, well I'm not going to complain am I.
So Nanook has come up with a scum name and judging from Diomedes reaction I think that Nanook is likely to be a Witch. The good news is that the scum will hold off on him to prove/disprove his Witchiness and let the town lynch him in a couple of Days if needs be. Of course, this means the Wolves now know that Nanook is a Witch. The Cabal will probably think along those lines as well. If Nanook is scum, the getting one of his own team lynched is the worst thing he could do.
As for myself, Roosh got killed by a Vampire last Night, but I had better check
CIAS Investigates Roosh.
I think the Wolves decided not to kill last Night, because if I don't come back with a result, the town is going to be really suspicious and they will probably try to push a lynch through.
So the CIAS Faction list looks like this
Cabal: OreDigger77 Wolf: Diomedes, Omi No Kami, DiggitCamara, peekercpa Undead: cckerberos
Accurate: Who knows.
The Inquisitive Detective Diaries - Day Three Pt 2
Ok, time to put a little pre-emptive planning into action.
So the I think the situation is as follows.
15 Town, 3 Undead, 7 Wolves, 6 Cabal.
Roles: Wolves - all of them + secret Cabal - as expected + secret Undead - 2 vampires + 1 necro + secret Town- I think we will have no seer and 1 out of a scotsman, warlock or witchdoctor role remaining , but no other magician, because it is too unbalanced against the scum. Will have witches, detective, freemasons, but probably no vigilante.
Current thinking is that pedescribe is a Vampire. Hence the drop off in numbers, combined with a no-kill last night for the Wolves.
It actually makes sense for the Wolves not to kill last Night. If I am a vampire they cannot Night Kill me so have to get me lynched. They won't Night Kill me as a detective because I may be the Vampire. So they have to get me lynched. Best way to do that, ensure I keep coming back with "A Vampire did it" until the town is so suspicious that they lynch me. A win-win for the Wolves regardless of my role. Also the lack of bodies makes it harder for the necromancer to raise zombies.
So far, it looks like they are trying to push the "CIAS must get a result" angle. So I will have to counteract that and make sure people remember there is more than one type of killer out there.
Of course, someone could have screwed up a kill and this is all rubbish. But I am not going to take the chance.
Hmm, let the games continue.

You know, with the results I have, I may as well change gears, I'm thinking. Just get it over with, check out either Cat or Nanook (probably cat, as Nanook will get some confirmation from this lynch) and just out right claim tomorrow and ask for protection.

Boozahol Squid, P.I.
So I really thought I had sent in a kill PM for NAF1138 at the very beginning of the night. Checking my sent PMs, I see I didn't. Must have timed or or something, or perhaps I closed the window too quickly.
As is, I feel I should explain some things, before I get into the happy world of Perfect Info.
I had planned on the Warlock claim from the beginning. IN the first few days, I made sure to note that the Warlock was one of the roles (along with the ever-expendable Vig) that couldn't claim with a hope of saving themselves. It was all part of a grand plausible deniability scheme, and hopefully, someone going back over my posts might notice that I mentioned the Warlock a few too many times. I also responded to storyteller's query about the response night-actors got back from you with a clipped, one word answer. The Warlock is one of the few pro-Town roles that would be able to do that, while not being able to be easily outed. (Obviously, Witch is not a good role-claim. Multiple witchdoctors seem much less likely than multiple warlocks.)
I was totally confused by Nanook's outing of me as scum. However, I was playing as pro-Townie as possible, and if he is scum, perhaps he picked up on hat as soon as possible. I figured I could come out, and claim Warlock, and be saved by a real Witch coming forward: the outing of a real Witch would certainly be worth saving a Townie and putting an end to the false Witch-claimer. Very quickly, however, I realized that he might really be a Witch, and have some strange ulterior motive for identifying me as scum, but outing me as the wrong scum. Perhaps he was waiting for strong anti-Nanook grumbling to pop-up, at which point he could change his ID of me, and then start to look closely at those (the Wolves) who didn't buy his ID. Doing a Vampire claim was the best way forward to prevent that. He can't now change his tune: either he needs -another- Witch to come forward, or he will swing, and the Witches lose half their effectiveness. I remember the psychological damage losing Rysto had to our Witch team last time.
Right now, though, I'm cackling with glee. Confusion and fruitless discussion is the best going-away present I could give to the town.
