I am at a loss as to who to investigate tonight. Keeping in mind that as gnarley outed me as one who CAN investigate, I may be blocked or redirected.

I'd investigate gnarly. That kind of power to gain all that information from so many people? Not typically a townie power.
I do not think I should poison anyone. If I do, I may be redirected and killed at the same time, and that will give the devils an additional kill and probably no poison healer for the town.

Targets for protection?
Mahaloth, as discussed earlier? Pizza, who I think people have probably figured out is the poisoner, and may be a Kill target?
It's my target's actions (if any) that get redirected to me, so there should be no danger to me from either target. I could possible target an Investigator, so that their investigation is redirected to me, thus 'clearing' us as non-Devils, but I'm not sure there's actually anyone with a straight-forward 'target someone and get their alignment' ability...
I'm leaving for a doctor's appointment in just a few minutes, but should have enough time once I'm done there to get an action in before Dawn.

I think protecting Pizza sounds like a good idea since he's not going to act tonight, and I'll try to investigate gnarly because yeah -- his power bothers me.
Of course, if he uses it again -- if he CAN use it again -- I'll be totally nullified for the night. But I'm good with that.

I've decided to protect Pizza.
There are still enough folks out there who seem suspicious of him that he could possibly still be a viable lynch candidate, so I don't think the Devils will kill him...but if I were a Christian Vigilante I'd probably shoot for him Tonight. Best case (from that perspective) would be killing a Devil, and worst case would be eliminating a killer and confirming two others as 'non-Devils'.
Which wouldn't actually be the worst thing in the world, but all-in-all I'd rather have Pizza alive for another Night.

Needless to say (but I'll say it anyway)
Pizza, if you've decided to go ahead and poison someone anyway, please say so...so that I can change my target.

I have not changed my mind on that, and yes, I would tell you if I do.
I want you to be absolutely sure- even if I don't use my poison power, you're under no danger of even my unused power affecting you. It doesn't force an action to happen, right?
I could still unpoison you before I swing from a lynch tomorrow regardless, but I don't fully understand the mechanics of your role so I need to be clear, it doesn't make me do my thing, it just redirects it if I did, right?
Anyway. It is within the realm of possibility someone could convince me Swammi isn't guilty, but I highly doubt he could at this point.
I think he blew his cover and he was basically forced to say he was pagan by his colleagues because they couldn't craft a believable christian cover and it was obvious most folks are pagan, and they advised him to just say "well I didn't know I was pagan even though it was one of the first things mentioned in my frickin role PM"
That doesn't fly with pizza. And it sounds like he's entirely nonessential anyway.
Plus all the townies he tried to lynch yesterday. I like him personally but if he dies and I'm wrong, I won't shed a tear.

I'm certain.
I asked Pleo for clarification on by powers before the game started, and he explained:
"Whatever power(s) they are using that require them to actively choose a target will be redirected to you and affect you. And they will get a message that they have been redirected to you. Passive powers are not redirected."
Since you're not using your power Tonight, there's nothing to redirect.
But just to be doubly sure, I've just PM'ed him to clarify Tonight's situation specifically.
I;m not so sure I agree with you that swammerdami 'blew his cover'...but I haven't actually looked at his voting record yet, nor have I really paid him any particular attention at all up to this point...

Oh, one other thing, which I completely forgot to mention last Night, but which is so far not significant:
At the beginning of Night 1, I received a PM from Pleonast.
"An unknown player wishes to slake their lust with you. If you accept before the end of this Night, you will be protected from all killing powers ToNight, but will gain one sin."
I did not respond. There was a similar role (more than one if I recall correctly) in the last game, but I don't recall exactly how it worked. I was waiting to see if anyone else claimed to have received such a message, but perhaps there's only one Lusty player in this game.
Any thoughts on the Big Black Bird? For Idle, he said "Darkly!"; for Pizza "Distinguishedly!"...which I don't think is really a word, but which does fit Pizza quite well (cue mustache smiley). But I have absolutely no idea what it might mean.

Either they're being cursed, or there's a Mad Bomber in the game. Or something else I haven't thought of.
