Decide who to do the killing and who to be killed. It's up to you how, colored votes works as well as anything. If you want to use a power, PM me or put it in green in this thread.

I am thinking about using my one-time kill on Idle. It might be better to use it now while I still can. The disadvantage is that I am going to look scummy as hell, particularly since there may also be a town commisar. My other choice would be use it on Hal Briston -- the difference would be everyone moving up 2 spots with Hal and me gone, or just one spot with me gone to the brig.
Oh, wait! I forgot that Mahaloth is investigating Idle. I can't kill him then. But Hal is still an option.
Who are we thinking about killing? Peeker, the engineer? Inner Stickler, the claimed mate? I could volunteer to do the killing, since it looks like with Commisar role and my high rank I might be a town target sooner than later.
And what to we want the rank list to look like in the morning? If I kill Hal and peeker, then we would have 1. fluid 2. Mahaloth 3. Inner 4. Red 5 glowacks ...
We would have control of both the engineer and doctor positions, barring any shenanigans from Idle.

There goes my theory of there being no vanillas. That makes those claims a little more interesting, and potentially worth going after.
fluiddruid's switching of Normal Phase and Natlaw makes killing either of them make fluiddruid look really weird, and I'm not sure how the town would interpret it. Given that the switch was pretty nearly useless to begin with, it will at least get people thinking about it. Killing Inner Stickler is probably too risky, as would be Idle, and for non-scum non-claimers not under heavy suspicion that leaves Stanislaus whose only votes came from scum. I'm not real familiar with typical interpretation of night kills, what's expected and how the town will view those who voted for the targets.
I'm guessing peeker will be watching Idle, Hal, Inner Stickler, or fluid. I think killing Mahaloth is poor strategy as it will 100% confirm Idle as town(/ringleader) assuming he announces the result in time and I think we need to avoid such a situation as long as possible. Likewise I think killing peeker is a mistake at this point in the game. We need engineers to not feel like they're our top priority so that we don't later offer the town easy lynches when we don't kill engineers. Killing anyone in the top 5 sets a bad precedent regardless, as there's one of us already there and another 2 hovering very close.
Aiming at people of no consequence who are making well-reasoned arguments but are off the mark seems like the best plan. Combined with the "wtf" it creates with fluid's rank switch, I'm leaning towards Natlaw.
As for the perpetrator, I nominate Red; I doubt any of us will be watched, but in the extreme unlikelihood our target is watched I feel his power is the weakest to give up.

We shouldn't be hasty to use our powers; none of us are coming under any suspicion at all. The way the game is going we just need to not do something stupid.

If the top 3 disappear like that, I can see the two information officers coming under heavy heavy scrutiny and we're unlikely to stay there; I'll probably get demoted and then the new doctor gets the results on Red and then we lose someone for no gain and suspicion falls on me. It's possible I put in an exam order early, but that's a clear scum play.
We should act like we're fine with the ranks the way they are for now, and act later when things get more critical or we can make the benefactors town. There's little to be gained from us in the Doctor role as long as no scum is likely to be examined, and early on it should be trivial to avoid the engineer. That is, given our current position we are not giving the town the information needed to find us if we let them use those roles to do the investigation that makes sense to them. If we mash things up so that we do get those roles, we'll be doing precisely what they need to help find us. Don't stir the pot and force them to find us; they're doing a god-awful job already.
Does anyone have insight into the typical town stance on those that voted for the person night killed?

Insight? I don't know that those votes weigh any heavier in my mind than other votes for confirmed town. I don't remember anyone ever bringing that up before.
I am OK with killing Natlaw. Another possibility if we want to go for someone in the lower ranks would be Normal Phase.

So there's no set-in-stone procedure for determining who Pleo listens to, so I guess we need to come to a decent consensus just in case?
I don't foresee any opposition to Red kills Natlaw[/b]. If there is, I'd also be willing to have Crackrat perpetrate the kill, and I agree that Normal Phase is a good second choice for victim. I'll check again sometime in the morning.

Although, I don't really see Natlaw as a prime target at this point. (We should really be trying to guess who has a power who hasn't claimed.) I don't really want to waste night kills on VTs (since that reduces the effective hiding pool. I've been saddled with a project that is taking waay too much of my time, so I don't have time to argue.
I don't mind killing Natlaw.
Traditionally though, it's done in red since we are scum, LoL.

Also something we should consider is getting one of us into the engineering spot and then watching a claimed power role while we actually kill another. So we have a convenient and pro-town alibi, while locking down one of the more pain in the ass roles.

I'm (Crackrat) content to do the killing tonight. My power is useful, but will definitely bring questions, so on the off chance of being caught by the Engineering officer, we won't lose a game-swinging power. I agree that targeting officers will set a precedent that will require careful planning in the future. If we want to use my power on the off chance that I do get caught in the night, I suggest targeting someone that won't be obviously town OR scum.

I'm also fine with killing Natlaw. Who wants to make it official, and decide which of us (Crackrat or Red) does the killing?

About three hours left, should I take "Red Skeezix kills Natlaw" as the decision?

Why should we really be concerned about power roles? The hidden powers in this game are of extremely limited utility compared to the roles due to rank. The only one we really need to worry too much about is the Commissar, of which there might not be one for town, and such a Commissar will probably only shoot if he's damn sure due to a doctor or engineer identification. Thus he's neutralized completely by just not getting caught. Even if we get caught by the engineer and are left to die by the Commissar, they risk the known scum's vote and hidden power affecting things as if he's brigged he can't be night killed. Idle or any other hacker might be able to disrupt our plans, but they would have no idea who we are or what we're trying to accomplish; they're just as likely to help us than hurt us in my view. And a town cracker seems absolutely pointless to worry about until we have a forced win situation, in which I don't think they'd really be able to stop us. If we can put anyone in the brig and avoid being lynched by brute force, we have the tiebreaker vote and thus can lynch whoever we want. If we can argue the town into accepting the brigging of someone, why would they then crack the guy out?
I'm willing to entertain arguments about how the hidden power roles are more worth killing, but I just don't see them as significant threats. I see us wanting to eliminate the least suspicious townies not likely to be watched and prefer ones making what appears to be useful commentary but whose votes are mainly not on the right track, with the goal to keep getting townies lynched. I think Natlaw fits this description the best.
I don't want to act completely like an actual ring-leader, but I feel Red's power is the weakest and thus he's my choice for perpetrator. Crackrat's power will likely come in handy to at least confuse them, as will Tex's. Additionally, if he's detected, Red's death would put me closer to the officers where I'm more likely to be examined. There's been so little suspicion thrown on any of us that using that as a metric is hardly a factor.
I'll color it red now. Red kills Natlaw.
--
There is some merit to having scum in the engineer or doctor position, especially the latter, but I really would like such things to happen organically. Any hacking not claimed by Idle will draw suspicion, as will Tex shooting practically anybody in the top 5. If the night kill appears to be coordinated with either of those, we'll run a severe risk of exposure. We want to keep our intentions as obfuscated as possible, and pushing someone into an officer role makes them a very likely lynch target.
Tomorrow night we might consider trying something that will make things at the end of night 2 look like:
1. town 2. town 3. Red/town 4. glowacks 5. town
We then kill one of the top 2 on night 3, and then kill the engineer each night until it's Crackrat, then stop killing him. How to accomplish that depends on how Idle hacks tonight (he's probably scared he'll die) and who gets lynched. If we get caught tonight and the killer isn't brigged we'll have to work a Commissar kill on Red into the plan.
