Scuba Ben, checking in.
Nitpick: A warlock is the proper term for a male witch, and should not have been a separate role.

Septimus here. Just posting because I can.
Though a night owl, I'm off to bed now. I've a blood test tomorrow. Staying awake would create temptation to eat, which is forbidden before test.

Scuba Ben, by adding an avatar and changing the email address, you risk being discovered. Anyone with an account on this board can see your user profile. And since I've used this board before for previous Conspiracy games, it's quite possible others in this game may look at this board.
Better to remove the avatar and change back the email.

I changed the avatar back to -none-.
My email is hidden. Does it actually show up? If so, I'll change it back to what's in your profile.
Eh, I changed it back.

Hi everybody! SisterC checking in. Septimus, I hope it was just a routine blood draw. I will be 100% out-of-contact next Wednesday and at some point (lord only knows when) I'll be gone again for outpatient surgery. I'll keep everyone posted (here and in game)

SisterC, I hope yours is also routine, and goes without mishap. I should have eaten a nice snack about midnight(*) before going to bed. Instead I lay awake hungry and finally gave up and ate something in the wee hours! ... No big deal -- I don't have a specific appointment. I'll do the blood test soon; weekday is probably better anyway. I think they'll ask me to do the treadmill exercise test as well, but some days I feel too weak to even attempt that. BTW, I was also a Witch in Conspiracy 4. Are we allowed to communicate secretly during the Day? IIRC, this was NOT allowed in C4. If it matters, Witch was my 3rd choice, behind Vampire and Seer. (* - I'm in Thailand so Am/Pm gets flipped compared with Chicago. For example, my Midnight is Noon Chicago time. I guess the Days end at 2 A.M. my time. Since I'm a night owl, that should be little problem for me.)

Hi SisC and Septy.
Witch was my third choice also, behind Vampire and Vig. I really wanted to go kill somebody.
The Rules post says: "Witch: You may communicate secretly on another forum, even when dead"
There is no restriction to discussing only at Night, that I can see.

I think we should investigate PizzaGuy early. We should find out early on how much we can trust his skill at talking his way out of a noose.
I also want to investigate KidV and Sub Plankton early.

I think all of those sound like good ideas, and I can't for the life of me remember if Witch was my #1 or further down my list.

I'd say watch Pizza for a while, and Investigate on a later Night. I don't know if we can read Pizza's faction, but it might be possible. Even if he's Scum, mightn't it be better to keep him around for a few Days just to see what he says? I'd prefer our earliest Investigates to be of players who are quiet and/or especially hard to read. KidV and Sub-Plank are good choices; also perhaps Guiri, Flying Squid, Red Skeezix. Anyone, we have a Day and a Night before we have to decide, right? Or can we act right now? -- the rules do say "Each Night ..." without any mention that Night 0 is different

Anyoneway, we have a Day and a Night before we have to decide, right? Some part of my brain is broken and I often type words that sound vaguely similar to an intended word. (I wish I could blame this foible on too much sex, but I think too much drugs or alcohol is more likely.)

Let's ask, Septy.
Hey Pleo, do we get to investigate anybody on Night Zero?

No, no powers on Night Zero. It's simply some extra time for players to adjust to the new game.
And there's no restrictions on when you can post in this forum.
