Keep plotting.

Sorry, I seem to have temporarily misplaced my protractor.

Oh! Whew!
I had somehow read that as 'keep blotting.'
I'm not going to post in the main thread until Ben shows up. Really crossing my fingers that one of the other witches did the investigation and is now dead. Maybe with a huge stroke of luck...

Oops - forgot that Ben is observing the Sabbath. I'll post, because it might be noticeable if I wait til sundown. Any advice from the more experienced players? It seems people pick up on the scumminess in my posts pretty easily.

Some thoughts as I read thru Day2 and reread the rules and roles -
If there is a Vicar, they did not bless peeker, or they were blocked. I can't think of a reason the Vicar would not bless the lynchee. We know that Ben was blocked; is there any possibiity he would claim Witch to draw protection but he is in fact the Vicar? Then why not claim Vicar? Or someone else had a blocking power last night, which would have had to be a secret power, because I don't see any other role who has a block as their regular power.

Other possibility is that the Vicar is one of the real lurkers... or one of the dead?

My general strategy, I think, is going to be to sort of play up the inexperienced newbie thing (which will not be difficult, believe me). But not too much dumb newbie or that might look too obvious to those I've played with before.
So, I'm going to try to post enough Today to not look like i'm scared or lurking. But not too much.
But, seriously, as we go along, please tell me if I'm doing something stupid.

Other possibility is that the Vicar is one of the real lurkers... or one of the dead? The rules say that powers generally resolve simultaneously... So if a blessing was placed, even if the player was killed, it would go through. Right? Who do you consider inactive - I would say gnarlycharlie and nesta; babale i think is trying to stay under the radar; colby i think is trying hard not to be seen as lurking.

Oh. Um, thanks, guiri. Never mind about my Vicar train of thought.
See? I'm *really* good at playing the dumb newbie!

Heh heh heh. I see guiri's style, and if necessary we can call him on it.
Also, Ben just announced they got a faction result from the investigation. This should be interesting.
Anyone have any ideas on who guiri's teammates are?

Anyone have any ideas on who guiri's teammates are? KidV is making the point that ATPG is not going after Guiri like he should... and the hedging? I don't know if I like that. So maybe ATPG...

Something seems off about Vindictus being surprised at the lack of faction reveal.

And it does seem like there's something going on with why peeker was lynched instead of KidV... on Day1 when only factions had any information whatsoever... Septimus/SisC/Ben/KidV, what's the relationship (s) there?

This vicar/zombie thing is nagging at me. The blessing is a Day power; so wouldn't the Vicar send his blessing order in close to EOD when it was fairly apparent who the lynch was?
So either it's someone who wasn't online at EOD, or they blessed the wrong player, or maybe they didn't realize they had a Day power instead of Night, or they were blocked during the Day? (not sure if that's even possible)

Any objection to me doubling Scuba Ben Today? He will be blocked Tonight and I will get an investigation or protection.
Or would another player be a better choice? In other words - is it better to go with the known quantity or strike out and go for the unknown?

In other words - is it better to go with the known quantity or strike out and go for the unknown? Go for it. One of us should have doubled him yesterDay...so let's not waste another Day. He's not going to be lynched, and no other faction has a need to kill him, so we might as well make as much use out of him as we can.

Concur that you should doppel Scuba Ben. Don't waste time - he's likely telling the truth.

I've been thinking about the KidV result - it seems unlikely just from the actions we took that Ben would develop a result on KidV...
There are three possibilities I can see to explain this:
1) The doppelganger power redirected investigation to guiri and the Witches are holding the outcome close to the vest to allow guiri more time to out his teammates. They simply use this opportunity to keep KidV out of the lynch path.
2) The Magician was involved, whoever that might be.
3) A secret power of one of the other factions allows for redirection.
I suspect the Wolves will try to take out one of KidV, Septimus, and Scuba Ben. There's enough variance there that their kill might make it through.
I see two potential strategies for our own kill tonight:
1. Attempt to kill a Witch: KidV, Septimus, and Scuba Ben... maybe SisterC
or
2. Attempt to identify and kill the Seer or Detective. As I have no idea who these might be, this could be a problem.
Some thoughts: * I don't think pizza actually is one of these roles. I think he's trying to draw NK fire for Town roles while also trying to evade the lynch. Not really sure of his faction, but I suspect he's Town.
* I don't think vindictus is one of these roles - the 'despair' doesn't seem compatible with an informatory role. Perhaps a Freemason who is unsuccessful at IDing his fellow Masons?
If we want to kill a Detective or Seer, that leaves (avoiding the above and people I think are scummy): SisterC, gnarlycharlie, babale, Polluxo, nesta
Since SisterC fits both strategy #1 and #2, perhaps she should be the target?

Squiddy, I do think SisC is a good target for NK Tonight. Or Polluxo, since he's suspicious of you?
I will have my Witch power Tonight also - who should I protect or investigate? I'm thinking I could investigate someone then if I turn up something good, Suburban can double them Tomorrow.
Investigate BillMc? I don't have a read on him and it would probably be good to know his alignment; or is he likely to be NK'd anyway?
Or Red Skeezix... if Vindictus is scum, maybe he's been bussing his teammate?
